Master of Science in Management Sciences
Program at Glance:-
The field of Management Science is going through rapid changes as the globalization of business activities, implementation of the WTO regime and explosion of information Technology are posing new challenges that warrant a research focus to evolve future business strategies. Thus, the department of Management sciences at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Lahore has launched the MS program which focuses on providing dedicated research environment for multifarious problems of financial, manufacturing, agriculture and services sectors of Pakistan. The ultimate objective of the Department, alleviate poverty by enhancing the capability of individuals and organizations through education, training, consultancy, research and policy analysis.
Admission Requirements:-
The admission into the graduate program are very competitive based on merit. The merit will be determined on the basis of the academic record, test and interview.
Admission Pre-Requisites
- A 16 years degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution with first division (annual system) or CGPA2.5/4.0 (semester system) with no third division or D grade throughout the academic career.
- NTS GAT(General) with 50% marks

Facilities for the Program:-
The department of Management Sciences prides itself in being able to offer the most advanced facilities to its students. Not only do we strive for the best educational atmosphere, but a constant and continuous effort is being made to enhance and upgrade our facilities, which include:

- The provision of all necessary training materials to produce managers for the 21st Century.
- Lecture theaters and rooms equipped with latest audio-visual facilities.
- Advanced computing facilities.
- High speed internet, wireless internet available within the campus premises and networked environment.
- Library – access to latest books, foreign journals and magazines, both on-shelf and online. Also inter university connections with other libraries.
- Career Development Center – helps learners and students in planning, developing and executing right career paths for them. On campus job fairs are also conducted for the graduating students.
- Business Development Center – students benefit from the centers activities like event management, small business consultancy (for future entrepreneurs) and its human resource development.
- Management Alumni Association of COMSAT – provides opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and to recognize the contribution of graduates towards industry.
- Center for Excellence in Research: supports high quality research within the department of Management Sciences through promoting a research culture among staff, students and industry linkages.
Faculty Profile:
Currently there are 71 full time faculty members and staff, teaching in different capacities, in the MS department. Out of these 9 have done their Ph. D. from well reputed foreign universities, 2 have done their Ph. D. from Pakistan. More than 20 faculty members hold a foreign MS degree while 8 have completed their MS from well recognized Pakistani Universities. In addition the department of MS has 5 adjunct faculty members from United Kingdom and United States of America.
